The City of Indianapolis was ranked the “fifth most polite city in America,” according to a study done by Preply.

Preply, an app used for language learning, interviewed over 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metropolitan areas in the United States and asked them about the mannerisms in their city, including typically rude behaviors.

The study ranks Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the rudest city, and Indianapolis as the fifth most polite.

The most commonly reported rude behaviors in the United States included people using their phones excessively, as well as refusing to let people merge in traffic and being loud in shared spaces.
