An Elkhart man was killed in a crash on East Beardsley Avenue.

The collision happened around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, near the intersection of Osolo Road.

The driver, Randy P. Neal, 50, was traveling eastbound on E. Beardsley Avenue in the 1800
block when he drove off the road and struck a utility pole, according to Elkhart Police.

Neal was pronounced dead at the scene, but did not have obvious signs of injury.

The crash remains under investigation, and the official cause of death will be a determination made by the Coroner’s Office.
