Republican appointee announced for St. Joseph County Police Merit Board

Tony Hazen was appointed to serve as the Sheriff’s Republican appointee to the St. Joseph County Police Merit Board.

He is set to finish the term of William Thompson, who previously resigned.

Hazen is also the 3rd District Councilman for the City of Mishawaka.

He has previously served on the Mishawaka Police Department.

The Merit Board has final approval in matters, including hiring, promotions, firings, and demotions.
