Court records show the family of Edith Schmucker may be planning to sue for wrongful death.

The Nappanee woman was killed in a two vehicle crash on State Road 19 back on Aug. 3 in a collision that also killed Second District Representative Jackie Walorski, Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson.

ABC 57 News reports the court appointed two special administrators for the “sole purpose of collecting damages for wrongful death,” records show.

The lawsuit would benefit Schmucker’s 17-year-old son, though no suit has been filed at this time.
