City of South Bend lead screening event

The City of South Bend is hosting a press conference.

They’re partnering with the St. Joseph County Department of Health during National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week.

They say it’s to bring awareness to the lead risks in the community.

They’ll also provide prevention resources for families.

The conference is happening on October 25, at 1 p.m. at 3633 Springbrook Drive.

There will also be a free lead screening event for children ages 1 to 6.

It’s happening on October 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Studebaker School, 724 E Dubail Ave.
