Six-month-old killed in St. Joseph County crash

(95.3 MNC)

A six-month-old boy was killed in a crash on M-60 in St. Joseph County in Michigan.

The collision happened around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Investigators say a woman was driving westbound on M-60 and was stopped while waiting for traffic to clear to turn. That’s when a second vehicle failed to stop or slow down and rear-ended the stopped vehicle.

The baby, Alden Adams, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died.

The driver of the suspect vehicle, Jimenez Lopez, 24, suffered just minor injuries. He tired to evade police by crawling away from the scene.

Investigators say Lopez is in the country illegally and admitted he had been drinking.
