A Niles man is back in prison, after driving away in a car left running outside of a gas station.

Zachary Brooks, 35, pleaded guilty to receiving, concealing, or possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Monday.

It happened in June, when Brooks took a car that was left running. The car was later recovered.

Leader Publications reports that Brooks had been released from parole in February, only four months before his current felony.

Brooks was sentenced to 18 months to 5 years in prison and will have to pay fines. He will be in court again, this week, for another case.
