Concord School Board election may have been affected by a technical glitch

Officials believe the technical issue that happened with the Concord School Board election might have impacted the results.

The language on the vote was very specific about the number of candidates that could be selected per ballot. WSBT reports that some people selected too many candidates, and their votes were still tabulated. There hadn’t been a problem in the past because there hadn’t been so many candidates.

Officials discovered the problem when the vote tally didn’t add up compared to the number of voters.

No other sections of any ballots were impacted by the problem, and candidates wanting a recount have until noon today to request a recount.
