The Curious Kids Museum wants to buy their building.

After a fire damaged parts of the Curious Kids Museum in St. Joseph, the director now wants to buy the building from the city.

WSJM reports that donors who want to support the repairs of the museum prefer that the museum owns the building, to insure the value of their donation.

Right now, the city owns the building and leases it to the museum.

The city says that because of insurance rules, they need to keep ownership as some repairs are made.
