(Tommie Lee/953MNC)

Masks are no longer mandatory inside parts of Goshen Hospital.

Now, those guidelines have changed, making masks optional for patients, visitors, and staff, regardless of vaccination status.

Inpatient units, the Center for Cancer care, emergency department, surgeries will still require masks.

This, because those areas of the hospital are considered to be at highest rusk for immunocompromised patients.

WSBT reports that the hospital will still ask anyone with COVID or flu like symptoms to wear a mask.

They say that the mask policies are subject to change if infections rates worsen.
