Apartment complex fire under investigation

Several people have been displaced after a fire at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Miami Street.

Fire crews were called around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.

Seven engine companies, two truck companies and several other units responded.

The structure contained four apartments and all of the residents were able to get out of the building without injury.

The American Red Cross assisted the displaced families.

The origin and cause are currently under investigation.
