Chicago’s Saint Ignatius Junior Varsity hockey team is back on the ice after the team was injured in a crash in Warsaw two months ago.

16 of the 23 kids on the bus were injured, three critically, on Nov. 12. The first game was on Sunday, Jan. 15.

The first responders from Warsaw who saved the lives of the team members were invited to the game.

WNDU reports that over twenty of the first responders, doctors, and nurses made it to the game at Chicago’s Fifth Third Arena and were recognized.

The Saint Ignatius Wolfpack JV hockey team won the game five to nothing. Three teammates did not play at the game, but are expected to be back on the ice next year.
