One person is in the hospital after a LaPorte County fire.

It happened around 3 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 13, at a home in the Hudson Lake area.

Officials say that they found flames coming through the roof of the house.

The owner of the home was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
