Apple ID email phishing scams

A new email phishing scam is claiming that you Apple ID was locked out because of suspicious activity.

Victims of the scam get an email containing a link to verify your account.

The link then takes the victim to a QR code website, which lets scammers collect your data. After scanning the code, the victim is asked to fill out personal information, like email addresses as well as bank account numbers.

In order to avoid these scams, do not click on links in your email or enter login information. Only login to the site itself.

You can also install backup protection.
