Roughly one and a half tons of boneless beef chuck product distributed to Indiana, Michigan, and several other states are being recalled due to a possible E.coli contamination.

More than 3,000 pounds of the product were distributed by Elkhorn Valley Packing.

The Elkhorn Valley Pride Angus Beef was packed on February 16 of this year, and routine testing revealed the presence of an E.coli organism that can cause illness. The product was shipped to distributors, federal establishments, retailers, and wholesalers including hotels and restaurants. There have been no reports of illness from consumers and those with the product should throw it away or return it.
