The only road into a Benton Township neighborhood has been washed out by recent heavy rains.

Part of Point o’ Woods Drive collapsed after the rains washed out the culvert under the road. The Berrien County Road Department set up a temporary access road through the nearby Point o’ Woods Golf and Country Club.

Officials believe it will take at least two months to install a new concrete box culvert at the site to avoid a similar problem later on.
