A second round of renovations will soon start at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

The first act of renovations included a new floor and new roof, as well as new plumbing, electric and mechanicals.

The second act is calling for a complete overhaul of the Jon Hunt Memorial Plaza, adding a second fountain and making the area more desirable for outdoor performances.

New elevators, restrooms, stairs, dining areas and entertainment areas are also planned.

According to WNDU, Act three will likely bring a new parking garage with multi-use space above in the future.

The second act is estimated to cost over $17 million with the majority coming from private donations and grants.
