No students were injured when a Penn Harris Madison school bus was involved in a crash.

The collision happened just after 8 a.m. on Monday, April 24, according to the district.

Bus #82 was heading north on Bittersweet Road, just north of Lincolnway when a midsize SUV hit the right front bumper of the bus.

Some Penn High School students were on board, though neither the students nor the bus driver was hurt.

An ambulance was called as a precaution and paramedics on the scene checked the students for injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was transported for care.

Upon arrival at Penn, all students were also checked out by the Penn school nursing staff.

Despite the crash, the bus was still driveable, and was released to continue on to Penn to drop off students.

St. Joseph County Police are investigating factors into the collision.
