Building collapses as firefighters battle blaze on Ferry Street in Niles

A building in Niles has collapsed, due to fire.

Crews were called around 4 a.m. on Friday, May 12, to the Ferry Street Resource Center.

On arrival, they found heavy, black smoke filling the air. ABC 57 News reports that, just before 5 o’clock, the building collapsed.

Utility crews were also called to the scene to deal with downed power lines, ABC 57 reported.

So far, there is no report of any injuries and no word about the cause.
