Illinois man to face 2 years in prison for having unregistered machine gun

A man from Illinois will spend the next 2 years in prison for having a unregistered machine gun.
Levar Tyms, 20, led police on a chase in Gary, Indiana back on March 9th of last year.
He eventually crashed and police found a gun with a glock switch, which turns a semi-auto gun into a fully automatic gun.
Tyms will have 2 years of probation after his release.

All this hew and cry for more gun laws yet the gun laws in existence only warrant a flick on the wrist to criminals.

When the government wants to disarm the law abiding yet won’t punish the criminals the law abiding need to ask why and consider their own safety.

At this point, can we just admit that “Glock switches” are in common use and thus are protected by the Heller decision?
