A man from LaPorte County is in jail on charges of stalking and threatening Taylor Swift and her fans.

Mitchell T. Taebel, 36, of Long Beach faces felony charges of stalking and intimidation, and misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and harassment.

Prosecutors say he made disturbing threats against Taylor Swift, her security team, and concertgoers of her current Eras tour that played Chicago and Detroit in recent weeks.

The Indy Star reports that he was also able to get within her proximity at least twice in Nashville, and sent a message to the singer’s father claiming to be “her soulmate” and posted to her official Instagram account last month that he would “happily wear a bomb” if he couldn’t be with his soulmate.

He also sent the singer a photo of someone firing a handgun and threatened to harm her and her dancers. He appeared in court on Tuesday.
