Congressman Rudy Yakym is talking about legislation that would impact the FAA.
The 2nd District Representative released a statement about the introduction of the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act, a bipartisan effort to reauthorize the FAA and aviation safety and infrastructure programs for the next five years.
Yakym applauded his colleagues who wrote the bill, and said “the current state of American aviation leaves a lot to be desired.”
He says the bill will benefit pilot shortages, customer experience, and more.
Yakym serves as the Vice Chair of the Aviation Subcommittee.

The best think you could do for the FAA is impeach the Secretary of Transportation who is usually AWOL when bad things happen. AND nominate and approve a FAA Director that actually knows about aviation regardless of color, sex or state of perversion in their personal habits. I would like to know where in the Article I, Section 8, Enumerated Powers of Congress is there even an FAA authorized? In days long gone The People were very familiar with their Constitution. They refused to let Congress spend their money on acts that were not explicitly authorized. Now we have a huge bloated swampy deep state that ignores the plain language of our Constitution and the civil rights those words protect. In other words, our collective ignorance has doomed our land to serfdom and communism.
The pilot shortages are by design. The FAA has been getting more and more hostile toward private plane ownership, driving many hobbyist pilots completely out of the market. It used to be that they would accrue enough flight time and go professional, but now the only sources for pilots are basically the military and airline training programs.
The FAA needs a severe downsizing, and the freedom to fly needs to be returned to the people.
