Benton Township Police are looking for help in identifying a suspect.

Police say a woman was exiting I-94 at Pipestone Road last Wednesday when a man stopped his SUV on the exit ramp by the woman’s car.

He then reportedly exited his vehicle, approached the woman’s car, and demanded she exit the vehicle.

After she refused his demands, he then fired multiple bullets at her, with one striking her.

The woman escaped and drove herself to the hospital for treatment, but the suspect has not yet been located.

He is being described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing dark clothing and driving a dark-colored SUV.
