No injuries after Elkhart house fire

A dog is missing, but no one was injured after a house fire on Wednesday, June 21.

It happened at 58093 County Road 9, Elkhart.

Firefighters were called to the home at 4:46 p.m. on reports of a home engulfed in flames. Concord, Baugo, and Harrison township firefighter arrived and stayed at the scene until 9:15 p.m..

They stayed on the scene for about four hours. The Concord Township Fire Chief says that the wind caused the fire to spread more quickly and that the house was a complete loss.

The cause is still under investigation.
