You’ll soon be able to take the Delta to Detroit.
Delta Airlines is launching daily nonstop flights between Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and South Bend International Airport beginning on September 10th.
Flights will leave South Bend at 8:05 a.m. and arrive in Detroit at 9:20 a.m.. The returning flight will leave Detroit at 7:45 p.m. and land in South Bend at 8:45 p.m.
The South Bend to Detroit service was discontinued previously with Delta citing the nation wide shortage of pilots and staff at the time.

I was going to ask “Who the heck wants to go to Detroit?” but then I realized that the real question is “Who the heck wants to go to South Bend?!?”

Good thing the surrounding cities and towns are decent places to live and work. South Bend is just a smaller version of Detroit. This is why most people live outside of these two cities.
