Indiana passes Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

(95.3 MNC)
Pregnant workers in the State of Indiana now have federal protections after the passing of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.
Under this law any business with more than 15 employees must accommodate pregnant workers by assigning them “light duty”, more bathroom and rest breaks, and specific accommodations asked for by their medical provider so long as it does not create “undue burden.”
Indiana had attempted to pass similar legislation on a state level last year.
