South Bend fire crews battle house fire on Donald Street

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

There is no word about the cause of a blaze that kept South Bend Fire crews busy early Wednesday morning, July 5.

The fire happened just after midnight at a home in the 11-hundred block of Donald Street. Upon arrival, crews found fire showing from the roof at the front of the structure close to a window.

An attack line was taken inside the two-story structure and ladders were thrown around the structure for support.

The fire was knocked down within about 10 minutes.
