Indiana is considered to be the 10th most energy expensive state, according to a new study by Wallethub.
Wallethub researchers say they used a special formula that accounts for the following residential energy types: electricity, natural gas, motor fuel and home heating oil.
They say the average monthly energy bill in Indiana is $545 per month and the most expensive cost for Hoosiers is motor fuel consumption per driver ($199 per month).
The most expensive energy state is Wyoming while the least expensive is the District of Columbia.
