ICYMI: Tucker Carlson vs Mike Pence on forum stage in Iowa

(Ryan Dorgan/The Elkhart Truth)

Former Vice President and Indiana Governor Mike Pence is facing questions from conservatives over his strong support of U.S. assistance to Ukraine in its war with Russia.

Pence sat down for an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday.

Carlson pressed Pence over his stance on Ukraine, claiming American cities have become much worse over the past several years, yet Pence supports giving Ukraine billions of dollars in help.

Pence argued the U.S. can both lead the free world and solve problems at home. Pence has been a staunch supporter of sending help to Ukrainians, breaking with other 2024 Republican Presidential candidates like Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who have suggested support for Ukraine isn’t in America’s interest.

Mike Pence in typical establishment fashion thinks Ukraine is more important that the USA. He is more worried about them than WE THE PEOPLE. I didn’t plan to vote for him now I am convinced he would be a disaster as President. Take you money and go home.

Pence’s run is just grift. He has no chance at all to secure the nomination, but the campaign is a good way for the “donors” who support his treason by certifying the election to launder his payment to him legally.

Mike Pence should change his last name to Bush. Keep that powerful Industrial Military Complex ( wars ) going. They finance RINO politicians Like Mike. The interview with Tucker Carlson just ended the former Vice President’s political career, with his Freudian slip. That video clip will hunt Mike Pence the rest of his life.

Robert F. Kennedy jr. is a lot more qualified to be president than Mike Pence. We don’t need anymore of these 20-year Bush / Cheney wars halfway around the world. Build the wall and protecting our U.S. borders should come first.

RFK is anti-gun and wants to see us all disarmed. No, thank you.

When the Soviet Onion (!) collapsed and the former constituent countries gained their freedom it left the Ukraine the third largest nuclear power in the world. Bill Clinton (ptui) and Yeltsin brokered a deal that said the US would guarantee the borders of the Ukraine and that Russia would not invade if the Ukraine gave up their nukes to the Ruskies who promised to destroy them (as opposed to turning them into new weapons which they did). No part of that deal was lived up to by any of the signatories.

While the Ukraine is not part of an active defense treaty they have in fact been an ally of ours with National Guard units participating in State Partnership programs which is why they are fighting more like a western army and punching above their weight class against the Ruskies. Unfortunately, on the business front the help we sent them was the Biden crime family…and people wonder why there is corruption there.

Defeating Russia in this invasion is the right thing to do…and we should be doing more than just sending bullets; and we should have been doing it since they took Crimea, or we should just shut up and sit down about being a good country that supports our friends.

Oh, yeah…Obama got them to give up their stockpiles of conventional weapons…how is all this working out for them? Apparently the word of America means nothing and you better have nukes .

Thor, I understand that we made a promise and I also understand that we need to keep it if we care about our word. Certainly though, sending a half a trillion dollars in aid that can be grifted by the Biden crime family is not the solution we are looking for.

Then again, the pragmatist in me knows that our word is already trashed, that the government in Ukraine was installed by the CIA in 2014, and that we are already broke to the tune of $32 trillion and counting…

I agree the debt is a problem (and the Biden crime family)…but to help solve that we need to end welfare and all the other give away programs that are vacuuming our tax dollars up with no benefit; not bail on our commitments and friends. And the Ukrainian people are our friends and their country is being raped just like their people by an immoral neighbor only bent on their subjugation.

Charles, I never heard this from RFK Jr. I’ve been listening to him being interviewed on many different independent sources. The DNC and the mainstream media are afraid of him, they are ignoring RFK Jr. He’s too much like an independent conservative. He’s not part of the Deep State.

On June 28th, during his town hall with NewsNation, Kennedy did express support for a bipartisan assault weapons ban. He does keep saying he doesn’t want to confiscate anyone’s guns, but that only means he will deprive our children of their rights instead of us. Not acceptable.
