A North Webster was arrested after allegedly running over a disabled man’s leg.

It happened on May 10, when police were called to the 63000 block of State Road 331 on reports of a car and pedestrian accident.

Police say that the victim was trying to get inside of a Nissan Rogue, driven by Ray James Skelton, 57, before it was driven off, running over the mans leg.

WNDU reports that the victim was paying for a ride, but Skelton did not like the amount of money being paid for the ride.

Officials say that Skelton threw the victim’s phone out of the window of the Nissan.

The two went to look for the phone and when they arrived back at the vehicle, Skelton got in the car, hit the gas, and ran over the man’s leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Skelton faces charges of battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.
