One person was injured in a shooting on South bend’s west side.

The gunfire happened around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at The Square apartment complex in the area of Western and Lombardy.

Investigators say the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.

So far, no word of any suspects, arrests or details about what led to the gunfire.
