Rochester man to face prison time for stealing guns from federal firearms licensee

A man from Rochester will spend over 2 and half years in prison for stealing guns from a federal firearms licensee.
Justin Overholser, 40, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in South Bend after pleading guilty.
Overholser was sentenced to 33 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, in September 2021, Overholser broke into the store of a federal firearms licensee and stole 11 firearms and several boxes of ammunition. He caused over $2,000 in damage and left the store with firearms valued at over $10,000.00.
Overholser later sold the stolen guns for drugs and money.
