A South Bend man has been sentenced in U.S. District Court after he pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth.
It was back in January 2023 when police officers tried to pull over 32-year-old Tyler Crawford’s car, but instead of complying, he fled at a high rate of speed.
During the pursuit, Crawford threw bags of meth and a loaded handgun out of the car. Officers recovered the methamphetamine, which totaled over 150 grams along with the gun.
Crawford has been sentenced to 120 months in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
