A controversial gun shop in Northwest Indiana will be closing.
The owner at Westforth Sports in Gary made the announcement this week. The decision comes a couple of months after a Cook County judge sided with Westforth and dismissed a lawsuit brought by the city of Chicago in 2021.
The suit accused the defendant of repeatedly violating federal gun laws, often resulting in criminal charges against straw purchasers.

The only thing controversial here is Chicago’s myopic gun control laws.
People who buy legal guns for criminals should be punished. Criminals with guns who do harm to people and commit crimes, should be severely punished.
