Parts of Berrien County remain under a boil water advisory, which includes Lincoln Charter Township, Royalton Township, the villages of Shoreham and Stevensville, and part of St. Joseph Charter Township west of the St. Joseph River.
This is due to a water main break near Marquette Woods Road and Hickory Creek.
Water is unaffected in the City of St. Joe and St. Joseph Charter Township on the Fairplain side of the river. Residents are asked to vigorously boil water for at least one minute if it will be used for drinking, including water to make ice, cooking or oral hygiene.
The water department has located the break and restored the system pressure.
