Three people shot overnight at Prosper Apartments in South Bend

Details are unfolding after an apparent triple shooting in South Bend.

Officers were called around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, to Prosper Apartments to investigate reports of shots fired.

As officers were on-scene, they were told about three walk-in victims at Memorial Hospital, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

None of the victims’ injuries are life-threatening.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. So far, no word of any arrests.

Anybody with information is encouraged to call Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP to leave an anonymous tip.

This apartment complex is a far cry from its former days as Park Jefferson Apartments. This was a respectable apartment complex with decent people living there 40 years ago. Now, Riff Raff and criminals live and hangout there.

And as an added bonus, they are continuing to migrate Eastward. Mishawaka is doomed.

I wonder how many people Memorial Hospital have patched up bullet holes this year ? It seems the city limits has several people being shot every week. It’s interesting the guilty shooters are rarely caught.
