South Bend has been selected to receive coaching and support from the National League of Cities’ Advancing Economic Mobility Rapid Grant Program.

The City is one of eight municipalities in the country that will receive the support.

A press release announced that the City will receive a grant for economic mobility advancement as well as five months of coaching from the NLC.

It stated that the City will use the grant to enhance the offerings of the Small Business Assistance Suite in order to include tools that will promote digital equity for entrepreneurs in South Bend.

They say South Bend was selected due to its demonstrated commitment to expand and test innovative solutions that advance residents’ economic mobility.

Looking at the NLC website, it seems that whites need not apply for the assistance. You aren’t the “equity” they care about.
