New improvements have begun at LaSalle Park.

Mayor James Mueller committed funding to the project after receiving community input in 2021.

Over $2.1 million dollars was invested for the project after working with the Common Council and Redevelopment Commission.

Some of the new features will include a roller skating loop with unique sloped features, over 60 new trees in the park, remodeled basketball courts, an additional pavilion and picnic area, a large centrally-located outdoor restroom and picnic area, new paths and more.

Work on the project began on August 21, and it is hoped to be completed by the end of the year.
