Northridge High School student killed in crash on U.S. 20

A Northridge High School student died in a crash on U.S. 20.

The collision happened around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, near County Road 31, when a vehicle that was parked in the middle of U.S. 20 near County Road 31 was struck by a westbound vehicle.

The school district identified the victim as an 11th grader in a post on Facebook.

The district expressed thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by the crash. They said school counselors and additional mental health professionals will be available at school on Monday for any students or staff needing support.

?? There must be more to the story Why was a car parked, at night in the middle of the road?

Were flares and warning signals out to warn moving traffic?

Who was the driver of the parked car?

Was the driver of the moving vehicle killed or that of the parked car??
