Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a restaurant burglary.

It happened Monday evening when South Bend police were called to a burglary alarm at a restaurant in the 2300 block of Lincoln Way West.

Police say that a man was seen jumping out of the restaurant’s drive-thru window before running. Officers later found the suspect, 58-year-old Clifford Murphy, a block away. He was arrested for burglary.

Surveillance video showed Murphy unplugging the cash register and passing it back through the window to a second man, 54-year-old Tyrone Sims.

He was also arrested for burglary. Both suspects are being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
