An Edwardsburg man was sentenced to jail in Cass County court for failing to comply with sex offender registry reporting duties.

48-year-old Mark Rand pleaded guilty to failure to comply.

He was sentenced to 150 days in jail and must pay fines and costs.

Leader Publications reports that it happened in January in Edwardsburg.

Rand was paroled from prison in April after serving prison sentences for criminal sexual conduct.
