LaPorte County drivers, a heads-up: CSX Transportation plans to close State Road 39 at the railroad crossing between Young Road and County Road 800 South beginning on, or after, Monday, October 2nd.
State Road 39 will be closed off for about two weeks in this location while the railroad rebuilds the crossing.
Drivers will need to find an alternate route. The official detour will follow U.S. 6, U.S. 35 and U.S. 30.
