Sonoco TEQ Fremont Plastics facility to close

An Illinois-based pharmaceutical, medical, and consumer packaging designer and manufacturer has announced that it will close its northeast Indiana facility, losing more than 50 jobs.
The company, Sonoco T-E-Q, will begin eliminating jobs at the T-E-Q Fremont Plastics facility in mid-December with further employment reductions planned for the end of June.
According to a notice sent to the state government, employees at the facility are not union members.
