A Dowagiac woman was taken to the hospital after a crash in Pokagon Township.

The collision happened around 11:40 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the intersection of M 51 and Wells Street when a 72-year-old man from Hartford, headed eastbound, failed to stop at the intersection and hit a northbound vehicle driven by the woman who was injured.

The impact of the crash forced both vehicles off the roadway.

The Dowagiac woman was taken to Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital Niles for her injuries.
