SWAT officer shot in 700 block of Franklin Street in Elkhart

A SWAT police officer in Elkhart is recovering after being shot.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, at a home in the 700 block of West Franklin Street in Elkhart.

According to reports, a person from the home began shooting and the officer was hit. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

ABC 57 News reports the officer has already been released.

We’re expecting to learn more information about possible arrests, charges, and information about the injured officer later today.
