A crash on US 31 is under investigation after causing trouble in northbound lanes.

The crash happened at State Road 110 around 2:20 Tuesday afternoon. When Indiana State Police responded, they found two pickup trucks that had crashed, leaving northbound lanes blocked.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2002 Ford was traveling southbound on US 31 and made a left turn onto SR 110, failing to yield to northbound traffic and being struck by a 2013 Dodge pickup truck traveling north.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with serious injuries, but the driver of the Dodge was not injured.
