Holiday Lights Parade set for Friday night in downtown South Bend

Downtown South Bend will host their sixth-annual Holiday Lights Parade on Friday, Dec. 8, along East Jefferson Boulevard.

The parade starts at 7 p.m. at Notre Dame Avenue and will end at Niles Avenue.

The three city-managed garages will offer free parking.

The city of South Bend can’t use the word Christmas to describe the lights parade. The city officials are so politically correct not to use the word Christmas so it doesn’t offend somebody. Some of us are old enough to remember calling them Christmas lights. 🎄

Remind me…which holiday is it that we are celebrating? Ooooh that’s right CHRISTMAS! If Christmas offends somebody I would suggest they not celebrate it.
