A St. Louis man filed a law suit against Ashley Furniture, after he says a recliner chair he bought caught fire.

53-year-old Jeffrey Jones allegedly woke up on May 13 with his apartment on fire. He had bought the Party Time LoveSeat Recline that Asley Furniture had put up for resale.

Jones says that he got out of the fire with multiple burns and was hospitalized.

Attorneys say that Ashley Furniture had received multiple customer complaints about the coach overheating and catching fire.

They say there are six incidents of property damage and people being injured. The lawsuit is asking for $250,000 in damages.

Ashley Furniture recalled the couch in June, because of a faulty LED battery.
