Portage man found six days after crash seems to be improving

(95.3 MNC)
Doctors at South Bend’s Memorial Hospital say the man who was stuck in a wrecked pick-up for several days in Portage, say he is improving.
Matthew Reum of Mishawaka was found six days after he crashed his truck along I-94 by two fishermen who were looking for somewhere to fish.
He’s since undergone an amputation of his left leg from the shin on down.
Mario Garcia, one of those two fishermen, says the man likely wouldn’t have lived another day if they hadn’t seen his truck and called police.
State police say part of what helped him survive was warmer than usual temperatures last week.
