A new set of sidewalks will connect Lincoln Charter Township with Stevensville.

Two six-foot sidewalks will run on both sides of John Beers Rd. from South Roosevelt Rd. all the way to downtown Stevensville.

According to ABC 57 News, State Representative Joey Andrews helped raise around $400 thousand towards the $1 million needed for the project, with the rest of the money coming from grants and fundraisers.

The project has been in the works for a while, and township leaders expect to break ground next year, making it easier for area residents to visit restaurants, shops, the library and more.
